Joe Scheidler to Speak at Annual Dinner
Pro-life icon Joe Scheidler will deliver the keynote address at the 20th annual “Life is Precious” dinner on October 6. Scheidler, who is known as the “Father of Pro-life Activism,” is the National Director of the Pro-Life Action League headquartered in Chicago. He has devoted most of his life to the pro-life cause, and is well-known as a stimulating, dynamic speaker on the moral dimensions of the abortion issue and the effectiveness of direct action.
Scheidler has appeared on more than a thousand programs including ABC News Nightline, Donahue, Crossfire, Face the Nation, Good Morning America, MacNeil/Lehrer Report, and The O’Reilly Factor. He is a recognized expert on the abortion culture, sidewalk counseling, the spiritual dimension of pro-life activism, fetal experimentation, the responsibility of the church to fight abortion, working with the media, battling the courts, and the need for a return to morality.
Scheidler spoke at St. Joseph County Right to Life’s first annual dinner in 1992. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Ann, Vice President of the Pro-Life Action League. The couple has seven children and eighteen grandchildren.
