On Friday, January 27, 2017 join pro-lifers as we peacefully protest Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion on demand for all nine months of pregnancy. A rally will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Hall at 553, 553 Washington St. (Knights of Columbus building on the corner of Hill St.). It will feature prayer and testimony from various leaders of the pro-life community. At noon, we’ll march a few blocks through downtown South Bend to the Federal Courthouse on Main and Jefferson, where we’ll host a demonstration opposing Roe v. Wade until 1:00. Spend your lunch break publicly standing up for the sanctity of unborn life and the overturning of an unjust law.
“This peaceful March is to honor those 60 million lives lost, and is a call to our elected representatives and our community to protect the sanctity of human life,” states Jeanette Burdell, Executive Director of St. Joseph County Right to Life. “Pro-life advocates who are willing to sacrifice in the cold will show that every innocent human life, both born and unborn, deserves protecting. We will continue marching until the day when abortion becomes unthinkable, and women are spared the pain of abortion.”
