St. Joseph County Right to Life 2011 Primary Candidate Survey Results

1.    Under what circumstances do you believe abortion should be legal?   (1) in no case; (2) to save life of the mother only; (3) to save life of mother & rape/incest; (4) if the child is determined to have mental or physical disabilities; (5) in all cases

2.    Do you support current Indiana law that prohibits public funds for abortion unless the life of the mother is endangered?     

3.    Do you support current Indiana law that bans the procedure known as partial-birth abortion unless the life of the mother is endangered? 

4.    Do you support legislation that prohibits state agencies from entering contracts with or making grants to any entity that performs abortions or maintains or operates a facility where abortions are performed?      

5.    Do you support legislation that provides that a health care professional may not be required to dispense a drug or medical device that would be used to cause an abortion, destroy an unborn child, or  cause the death of a person by means of assisted suicide, euthanasia, or mercy killing? 

6.    Do you support legislation that prohibits qualified health plans under the federal health care reform law from providing coverage for abortion?   

7.    Do you support legislation requiring Indiana abortion facilities to meet the same basic standards as any other Indiana ambulatory outpatient surgical center? 

8.    Do you support legislation that requires a physician who performs an abortion to have admitting privileges at a hospital in the county or in a county adjacent to the county where the abortion is performed?

9.    Do you support current Indiana law that bans assisted suicide?
