Free Abortions for Oregonians Through All Nine Months of Pregnancy

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — This Tuesday, Oregon Governor Kate Brown signed a bill into law that requires abortion coverage to all Oregonians. The new law applies to both citizens and undocumented immigrants, regardless of income and gender identity, and it includes abortion coverage throughout all nine months of pregnancy for virtually any reason, including sex selection.

A Fox News analyst claims in this video interview that more access to abortions does not result in higher abortion rates, given that Oregon reportedly has the lowest abortion rate in the country. However, as her counterpart points out, this view does not see the whole picture of the law's potential impact, citing that Oregon was the first state to legalize assisted suicide, and now more than five other states have followed suit.

One estimate approximates that 3,000 additional abortions will take place next year in Oregon as a result of this legislation. Ultimately, the law dangerously strong arms insurance providers, those who purchase insurance plans, and all Oregon taxpayers into funding an extreme abortion agenda, all while putting actual lives of women and their unborn children at stake.
