Heart of Our Work

The Right to Life staff has had the good fortune of working alongside Doug and Debbie this year to accomplish a variety of projects. Both are highly skilled volunteers who are always willing to give their time and talent without seeking even the slightest recognition.

Among other contributions, Doug and Debbie spent hundreds of hours helping to construct our new “Life: Wonderfully Made” exhibit, furnish the HerMichiana mobile unit, drive a box truck filled with hundreds of thousands of diapers and wipes, facilitate our community events, and hand roll hundreds of truffles to thank our donors. 

The joy they share in the process of their humble work is incomparable. Everyone agrees that we would be hard-pressed to find a more devoted duo. 

In thanksgiving for their countless efforts this year, the Right to Life staff invited Doug and Debbie over for a home-cooked meal. That afternoon, the office was filled with good eats and even better company as we took the time to be with Doug and Debbie and thank them for their service to the cause.

We soaked in the wisdom they have gained from marriage and family life and left feeling renewed after sharing many a laugh.

As they departed the office that day, Debbie turned to our office manager and whispered to her, “You have the BEST place to work.”

Being given the privilege of sharing the load with such devoted volunteers, we agreed that she is certainly right.
